John Spark joined Ferrier Hodgson in 1989 and is the former Managing Partner of Ferrier Hodgson in Victoria. During this period John has practised exclusively in Restructure and Turnaround, Special Projects, and Insolvency Management for major Australian Banks and international financiers.
John’s formal and consulting appointments have gained him extensive experience in a wide variety of fields from banking to the wine industry and mining and smelting. In 2001, John was appointed Joint Administrator of the Pasminco Group, which resulted in the first restructure from Administration to result in an IPO.
John was also the Joint Administrator of the Sportsgirl Sportscraft Group, the Receiver of Harris Scarfe, the Liquidator of Budget Rent a Car and the main advisor to the Banks in the collapse of Estate Mortgage.
