Aik Kiat has worked for over 10 years in the accounting industry with experience in insolvency and fraud investigation. Prior to this, he worked with the Commercial Affairs Department for nearly three years and his key assignments included the tracing of funds, reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with key witnesses.
Aik Kiat has been involved in managing receivership and judicial management projects involving public listed companies as well as assisting clients in litigation support assignments which include reviewing and analysing financial statements and records. Aik Kiat’s industry experience includes property and construction, logistics, warehousing, media, oil trading, hospitality and retailing.
Aik Kiat has also been involved in corporate finance assignments which involved a reverse takeover of a listed company. This assignment includes liaising with the financial advisors, lawyers and accountants to finalise the acquisition of an IT company and proposing a Scheme of Arrangement with its creditors.
