Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a member of CPA Australia, a member of the Cambodian Institute of CPAs, a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and an Associate member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia. He is also a licensed auditor with the Professional Committee of Accounting under the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia.
He holds the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degrees from The University of Western Australia. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2000. Andrew has handled various insolvency assignments comprising Liquidations, Receiverships, Special Administrations and advisory work for troubled companies. He has also undertaken workout proposals, debt restructuring, due diligence reviews and investigative audits and monitoring accountant roles. Andrew’s exposure in industry includes property development, construction, restoration of abandoned housing schemes, scrap metal recycling, hotels, underwater aquarium and aquatic business, mining, timber, plantations, retail and manufacturing.
Andrew also leads the firm’s corporate advisory, restructuring and turnaround team. He has lead numerous valuation/ fairness opinion of acquisition of assets for public listed companies in Malaysia. He also lead numerous due diligence reviews on distressed companies for loan providers to formulate restructuring strategies via Scheme of Arrangements also merger and acquisition reviews for both local and overseas strategic investors
