Bruce has spent more than 30 years in corporate recovery and insolvency. In 1992, he was one of the founding partners of Ferrier Hodgson’s Adelaide practice.
Bruce is regularly called upon by the highest levels of Australian business and government to provide assessments of complex businesses and manage any resulting restructuring or formal insolvency appointments. His various roles as either a director, advisor or restructuring professional provide him with wide experience across many industries including the wine sector, mining, agriculture, retail, sport and education.
Bruce is widely recognised for his strong record of success in corporate rehabilitation. He has conducted work for all of the major financial institutions within Australia and has been involved in a number of Government-appointed restructurings and reviews.
Bruce has had numerous high-profile appointments and successful restructurings, including Harris Scarfe, Balfours, National Wine Centre and Flinders NRG.
Bruce is a past Chairman of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and board member of INSOL and is a director of a number of Government and private entities. He is presently one of 3 panel members appointed by the Prime Minister to review the allocation of GST to the Australian states.
