In 2009 Geoff returned to Ferrier Hodgson after 10 years as Deputy CEO/CFO with the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust. In that role Geoff’s areas of responsibility included financial planning and management, commercial operations, capital asset management, project management, human resource management and governance.
Previously, with over 10 years experience as an insolvency and reconstruction specialist, Geoff was involved in all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency and reconstruction. This involved management of businesses under administration, realisation of assets, finalisation of contract works in progress, debt recovery and litigation. His experience extends across a wide range of industries with major assignments in property and construction, retailing, food and beverage, venue management, agribusiness, manufacturing and financial services.
Geoff has also carried out numerous investigating accountants reviews on a confidential basis for financiers.
In 2009 Geoff was integrally involved in an assignment on behalf of a syndicate of banks and US private placement noteholders to report on the financial viability of a major diversified conglomerate with turnover of approximately $3 billion. This resulted in recapitalisation of the entity and restructure of its financing facilities.
