- Disputes between shareholders (including oppression of minority interests)
- Dissolution of joint family interests
- Taxation requirements
- Determination of Fair / Market value on disposal
- Value of businesses for security purposes
- Collating and analysing financial records to assist clients’ compliance with regulator enquiries
- Collating and analysing financial records to reconstruct entities’ financial affairs
- Assessment of vendor / prospectus representations made at time of sale / float
- Loss and damage assessments arising from claims made under the Trade Practises Act and arising from breach of contract
- Opinions on solvency of entities
- Verification of accounting information within client accounting systems for use as evidence in proceedings
His experience includes:
- An assessment of loss and damage arising from a claim for breach of contract and misleading and deceptive conduct, relating to the purchase of medical waste processing plant
- An assessment of loss and damage in respect of a claim for misleading and deceptive conduct on the sale of a chemical business
- A review and verification of an accounting system in the context of a claim pursuant to a termination of a major engineering contract
- An assessment of a claim for an equity interest, by analysis of segment information provided in audited financial statements of a public company
- Critique of an expert’s report filed on behalf of a Plaintiff in respect of damages arising from a motor vehicle dealer dispute
- Report as an independent expert in relation to the sufficiency of discovery made for the purposes of a valuation of a minority interest
- A report for AAT proceedings in respect of an alleged excise fraud
