James brings a wealth of practical experience to the Ferrier Hodgson property team. Since 2008 he has headed Equimax Property Solutions , a project management and development consultancy he co-founded with Mark Byrne . He specialises in the identification and development of strategies for problematic properties and develops his own projects, from showroom warehouses and apartments to medical suites.
A former director of industrial development specialist Vaughan Constructions, James co-ordinated many pre-lease developments and ran about 30 to 35 construction projects per annum – including the largest industrial building in Australia (Murray Goulburn). He also spent time as a Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he headed up several specialist teams and was deeply involved with commercial and industrial property.
