Lachlan has more than 12 years experience in forensic accounting and investigation. He has been with Ferrier Hodgson for more than nine years and is currently a Director of the firm’s Forensic Accounting practice in Adelaide.
Lachlan’s areas of specialisation include the assessment of economic loss, valuations of assets, businesses and shares and the development of complex financial models for the purpose of assessment of loss and valuation.
In these roles Lachlan has had diverse experience across a wide range of industries including: retail; manufacturing; transport; property development; professional services; engineering; hospitality; agriculture; aquaculture; real estate and technology.
In 2009, Lachlan provided assistance in a dispute regarding the quantification of loss in a contract dispute. The role required a detailed analysis of contract terms between the parties, consultation with the client, reporting, dealing with alternative positions and opposing experts and contribution at a successful mediation.
Other key assignments have included:

- Valuation of a minority interest in a large private aquaculture business.
- Quantification of loss in a dispute involving a pharmaceuticals manufacturer.
- Investigation of fraud involving the tracing of misappropriated monies.
