Michael Khoury is a Director in Forensic IT services in Sydney. Michael began his computer forensics career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2004. For almost 6 years, Michael led and managed a large number of sensitive and high profile computer forensic investigations. He joined Ferrier Hodgson as a Senior Manager in 2010 and continues to work on various high profile cases.
Michael’s areas of specialisation include:
- Computer forensic investigations for matters pertaining to corporate fraud and financial crime, intellectual property theft, cyber-crime, employee and contractual disputes;
- Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) services for law firms and the financial and corporate sectors;
- Assisting in investigations for regulatory and law enforcement agencies;
- Assisting in insolvency related matters including corporate collapses, administrations and receiverships
Michael’s recent matters include:
- Managing the electronic discovery and investigation requirements of a civil lawsuit litigation involving a major Australian financial institution;
- Conducting an FCPA based investigation for a major charity organisation in Indonesia. His role was to manage and lead the forensic and electronic discovery components of the investigation;
- Investigating a cyber-crime hacking incident involving a major NSW government department
Michael has gained extensive experience in supporting a large number of civil and criminal investigations for various industry sector groups including government, private and corporate clients. He has also assisted a number of law firms with their litigation and commercial disputes. In doing so, he has participated in a large number of live search warrants and Anton Pillar orders for numerous enforcement agencies and law firms.
Michael is well versed in the preparation and delivery of analysis results as an expert witness to the State and Federal courts.
