Peter has over 20 years experience with Ferrier Hodgson specialising in insolvency and corporate restructuring in Australia, the United States, South East Asia and Japan. He has been involved in a number of formal and informal restructuring assignments involving complex business structures and syndicated lending facilities.
During this time, Peter spent one and a half years with the firm’s affiliate in New York where he was involved in several turnaround and litigation support assignments and seven years in Asia working on corporate restructuring assignments.
Peter has in-depth experience in Thailand, Japan and other parts of South East Asia. As Managing Director of Ferrier Hodgson’s Bangkok office, Peter was responsible for the court-sanctioned Administration of Thai Petrochemical Industry PCL, a role which involved the negotiation and implementation of a restructuring plan involving over 140 bank creditors, USD3.7 billion of debt and approximately 7,000 employees. The court-appointed role also involved direct hands-on management of the company for several years.
He has completed assignments in a wide range of industries including petrochemicals, cement, finance/securities, structured finance and leasing, transportation, steel, textiles, agriculture, hotels, telecommunications, manufacturing, and information technology.
Peter’s recent experience includes:
- Receiver of the Allco Finance Group.
- Plan Administrator of Thai Petrochemical Industry PCL.
- Restructuring Adviser in regard to the Kanebo Group.
- Liquidator of the Japanese assets of Agfa Photo Group.
- Advising the unsecured noteholders of the Octaviar Group.
- Receiver of Sunshine Electricity cogeneration facilities.
