Peter has practised in the area of forensic accounting, fraud and financial investigations, and business valuations for over 20 years. He joined Ferrier Hodgson’s Adelaide office as a Partner in December 2000 and today leads the office’s Forensics practice.
Peter has more than 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and has practiced in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe. He has given evidence on numerous occasions in both Federal and various State courts. Peter has lectured and written extensively about valuations, forensic accounting, fraud and expert witness related topics for educational institutions, law firms, corporates and government agencies.
His areas of specialisation include:
- Consideration of economic loss, causation and mitigation issues in a wide variety of claims and mediated outcomes, including equity, contract, tort and Trade Practices Act disputes, intellectual property disputes and business interruption claims – particularly in agribusiness, transport and retail.
- Insolvency reports.
- Valuations of businesses and shares.
- Fraud and other financial investigations in corporate and government.
