Peter McCluskey has been an insolvency and turnaround professional for 23 years. He is a senior partner in Ferrier Hodgson’s Victorian office, heading up a team of seven partners and about 100 staff. He plays a key role in the strategic direction of the firm both nationally and in Asia.
Throughout his career, Peter has specialised in corporate restructuring and has developed extensive experience in all forms of corporate administrations, including receiverships, voluntary administrations and liquidations. His experience covers mining, property and development, manufacturing, retail, transport and finance.
Peter has strong personal relationships with key players in all the major Australian banks and a deep knowledge of their structure, personnel and philosophies. He has made a name for himself through the development of innovative solutions to complex corporate problems. In particular, Peter has been able to manage the conflicting agendas of diverse parties in large banking syndicates in some of the highest profile corporate restructuring assignments in Australia.
Peter is experienced at negotiating with all levels of stakeholders, actively implementing change and managing businesses through restructuring processes in both distressed and non-distressed environments.

- Liquidator for Opes Prime
- Administrator of Pasminco Group, which resulted in the successful IPO of the group – the first and most significant restructure of a company via an IPO
