Stewart is Ferrier Hodgson’s energy and mining specialist, with extensive experience working within Australia’s biggest energy and mining companies. He has become a key figure within the sector, providing advice at the highest level on the energy and mining industries as well as capital market transactions and corporate finance.
Recently, Stewart provided advice to OZ Minerals and its lender syndicates on refinancing, cash flow and corporate actions and led investigation and workout engagements for lenders to listed companies in mineral sands, power generation, and oil and gas production.
He spent four years at Zinifex Ltd, the world’s largest zinc miner, first as General Manager of Group Strategy and Development and later as Chief Development Officer, where he was accountable for corporate strategy, major development projects, M&A and exploration functions. Before that Stewart worked at Pasminco where he headed up corporate strategy and was intimately involved in Pasminco’s restructure.
Previously, Stewart established a career over 16 years working for BP where he held Chief Executive roles in Global Marketing and Global Lubricants.
