Mr. Kasahara joined Ferrier Hodgson in 2006 after a long and successful career with Mitsubishi Corporation. His experience with Mitsubishi was concentrated in the energy sector including roles in the trading house’s crude oil, petroleum, LPG, LNG and energy divisions.
In addition to extensive experience in Japan, Kasahara-san has completed many transactions in the Middle East and has spent time working in Mitsubishi’s Los Angeles and London offices.
Mr. Kasahara was appointed as Chief Representative of Mitsubishi’s Indonesian operations in 2000. In that role he oversaw all of the trading house’s activities. This involved transactions in a wide range of industries including, machinery, oil & gas, coal, agriculture, food and chemicals. Mr. Kasahara returned to Tokyo in 2004 to act as a Corporate Advisor to Mitsubishi Corporation and retired in 2006.
Mr. Kasahara has extensive experience in international business and has excellent ties to the Japanese and other Asian business communities (particularly Indonesia). Mr. Kasahara is fluent in Japanese and English.
