John Melluish and James Stewart were appointed joint and several Receivers and Managers of various companies within the ADR Group on 20 January 2009 by the Group’s banks.
The Receivers appointment follows the appointment of Deloitte as Administrators.
The Receivers are:
- In control of the business
- Intend to trade the business and, if possible, sell the business as a going concern as soon as possible.
ADR has 402 stores around the country, employing approximately 2,700 permanent employees.
ADR incorporates three core retail businesses:
- Crazy Clark’s / Go-Lo (275 stores)
- Sam’s Warehouse (99 stores)
- Chickenfeed (28 stores)
