Deakin Financial Services Pty Ltd
Background Information:
John Ross Lindholm and Peter Damien McCluskey were appointed joint and several Administrators of the Company pursuant to 436A of the Corporations Act 2001.
Mr Lindholm and Mr McCluskey were subsequently appointed as Deed Administrators of the Company on 15 November 2007.
A first dividend was paid to creditors on 30 May 2008.
Current Status and Actions Required by Creditors:
The case is intrinsically linked to the outcome of the various mezzanine companies that Pricewaterhouse Coopers (“PWC”) continue to wind-up. The outcome of the PWC administrations will determine the quantum and timing of the final dividend from the Company.
No action is required by creditors to receive future dividends unless circumstances (addresses, claimant details etc.) have changed. Please notify us of any changes.
The Company continues to collect trailing commissions, which will be distributed to creditors periodically, when the size of the distributable amount warrants a dividend without incurring undue costs. Funds continue to be held in a term deposit for the benefit of creditors.
Next Milestone and Estimated Timetable:
A further interim dividend will be declared shortly.
