Background Information:
On 21 September 2010, Martin Jones, Andrew Saker and Darren Weaver were appointed as:
(i) Joint and Several Receivers and Managers of Narrogin Beef Producers Pty Ltd (NBP) in its own capacity and in its capacity as the Thompson Family Trust trading as Narrogin Beef Producers, pursuant to the provisions contained in the registered securities created by NBP in favour of the National Australia Bank Limited (NAB) in respect of the Mortgaged Property excluding certain leased equipment (the appointment was extended to cover such leased equipment on 28 September 2010): and
(ii) Joint and Several Receivers over properties held by Matt and Janet Thompson comprising a feedlot facility located at 136 Wanerie Road, Narrogin WA, pursuant to the registered securities in favour of the NAB.
NBP historically traded as a cattle feedlot in Narrogin, WA. At the date of our appointment, NBP had not traded for approximately 8 months.
Current Status and Actions Required by Creditors:
The Receivers and Managers have taken control of NBP and the properties, and are attending to the affairs of NBP as necessary.
As NBP had ceased trading 8 months prior to the date of appointment, there will be no trading activities conducted by the Receivers and Managers.
