Background Information:
Will Colwell, Greg Moloney and Peter Gothard were appointed Official Liquidators of Octaviar Investment Bonds Limited (“OIB”) (formerly known as “MFS Investment Bonds Ltd”) and Octaviar Investment Notes Limited (“OIN”) (formerly known as “MFS Investment Notes Ltd”) on 18 December 2008 pursuant to Orders of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Both OIN and OIB are members of the Octaviar Group (formerly known as the MFS Group). Octaviar Limited (formerly known as “MFS Limited”), the head of the Octaviar Group, was an ASX listed public company and was a tourism, property funds management and financial services company.
William John Fletcher and Katherine Elizabeth Barnet of Bentleys Chartered Accountants were appointed Liquidators of Octaviar Limited (In Liquidation) ACN 107 863 436 and Octaviar Administration Pty Ltd (In Liquidation) ACN 101 069 39 on 9 September 2009.
As such creditors of Octaviar entities other than OIB and OIN should direct their queries to Bentleys.
Current Status and Actions Required by Creditors:
The Liquidators as eligible applicants are currently involved in Public Examinations of certain current and former officers of the Octaviar group.
