John Melluish was appointed the Provisional Liquidator of the Turning Group on 4 May 2006 by order of the New South Wales Supreme Court to investigate the trading and financial affairs of the Turning Group.
Upon submitting his report, Mr Melluish was appointed Official Liquidator of the Turning Group on 5 June 2006.
Current Status and Actions Required by Creditors:
The First meeting of Creditors was held on 4 August 2006. This meeting provided creditors with an update as to the investigations that had been undertaken and progress of the liquidation.
Since this meeting we have continued our investigation and are currently in the process of assessing creditor claims.
We are also waiting the outcome of proceedings in the Bahamas which will determine how assets located in the Bahamas will be treated.
