Ferrier Hodgson partners Morgan Kelly, James Stewart and Peter Walker have been appointed Receivers and Managers of the Owen Ferguson Health group (OFH).
OFH owns and manages three small private hospitals in suburban and regional Australia: Pioneer Valley Private Hospital, Mackay, Queensland; Cliveden Hill Private Hospital, East Melbourne, Victoria; Lismore Private Hospital, Lismore, NSW.
Mr Kelly said the appointment of Receivers to the hospitals is an opportunity to return some stability to the business while the future viability of each operation is assessed.
“This Receivership will allow us to stabilise the business,” Mr Kelly said. “These hospitals are well established. The Cliveden Hill facility, for example, has been operating as a hospital for over 100 years and has a well-established niche as a specialist plastic, reconstructive and gynaecological practice.”
Mr Kelly said patient care will not be affected by the Receivership.
