We undertook a confidential assignment for a major company (“Company X”), who required an independent review of the potential synergies that would be gained from the acquisition of its competitors, whilst at the same time looking at Company X’s Profit Improvement Programs

We reviewed the due diligence information / Profit Improvement Programs
Engaged an industry expert to verify the synergies associated with new proposed technology
Compared Key Performance Indicators to Industry Benchmarks
Went “back to basics” to understand what Company X’s core business was and if the acquisition would compliment this core business
We reviewed the financing requirements of the acquisition / profit improvement programs to ensure Company X had the necessary working capital to meet this financing requirement
Adopted our “hands-on” approach and worked with management to complete our review
Provided reports and conducted presentations to Company X’s stakeholders including management, the Board and major financiers
Outcome
Managed the successful verification of synergies associated with the business
Reviewed and verified a number of performance improvements and identified working capital savings
