The Australian agribusiness landscape is changing: just 18 months ago it was plagued by drought and depressed commodity prices, then 12 months ago it was torrential rain and flooding. Now, the agribusiness sector is being flooded again – this time by foreign investors, sparking heated debate about whether this is a good or bad thing for rural communities.
