Ferrier Hodgson enhances Cyber offering with senior hire
Ferrier Hodgson today announced Stephen Rennick has joined the firm as Head of Cyber, Executive Director. Stephen will boost the firms Technology and Forensic IT offering nationally and will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office.
Stephen Rennick brings over 25 years’ experience in Cyber Security roles within large consultancies with him. He will head up Ferrier Hodgson’s Cyber practice which will advise companies nationally on what assets need protecting, how to prioritise and implement that protection, including options for automisation, and legislation preparedness. Stephen’s appointment follows the recent acquisition of Ian Renwood as Azurium’s Head of Digital and compliments Ferrier Hodgson’s continued pursuit to be a recognised leader in the technology services space.

Stephen was most recently a Cyber Security expert at EY having held roles at Verizon Business, PwC and KPMG. He has also owned two IT Security consultancies and has advised global organisations and the international standards community. Stephen has a strong technical background in cyber security and has worked across a variety of industries such as power and utilities, legal, financial services, telecommunications, media, government, payments, not-for-profit and retail. He has also provided strategic advice to Boards, CIOs and CISOs.

The team operate across Australia with recent work including a complete Cyber Security Assessment and review of digital assets for a Government department, investigation into identifying a data source breach and subsequent audit and an overhaul of platform infrastructure and application code for the Independent Scools of Victoria following a breach of a public facing website.
